About This Set
What if the X-Men were teenagers? X-Men: Evolution reimagines Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, Nightcrawler and friends as students at Professor Xavier’s school in Bayville, New York, learning to control their powers while surviving high school. Wolverine keeps them in line, and Mystique, the Brotherhood and Magneto keep them busy.
The series ran for four seasons on Kids’ WB from November 2000 to October 2003, growing more ambitious as it went, all the way to the Apocalypse storyline. It won Daytime Emmy Awards for its sound and gave Marvel a lasting new hero: X-23, who debuted here before joining the comics. Spyke, another hero created for the show, joins the team alongside the classic mutants.
The X-Men: Evolution complete animated series DVD set comes on 4 discs and has all 52 episodes from all four seasons: over 17 hours of uncut, digitally remastered animation. Season by season, that’s 13, 17, 13 and 9 episodes. The discs are region free and play on any DVD player in the world, with interactive menus that take you straight to any episode. Audio is in English only, with no subtitles.
Bring home the X-Men: Evolution complete animated series DVD set. Every mutant mission from all four seasons, in one set.

I was really surprised by how nice this set was. With only 4 DVDs I was a little hesitant that the quality would be bad or it would be too compressed or something. I’m happy to say I was wrong! This set looks better than most of the episodes I’ve seen online. They really put some time into cleaning it up and making it crisp and sharp. Even the menus and everything look so professional. Very happy with my purchase.

I’m a HUGE X-Men fan. I’ve watched every episode of every series. X-Men Evolution is a great show. It’s my second favorite after the 90s X-Men series. This set does it a great justice as it finally compiles ever single episode into a perfect DVD set. VIDEO QUALITY: 5/5. AUDIO QUALITY: 5/5. SHOW QUALITY: 4/5

I disagree with the other reviewer, I actually think X-Men Evolution is BETTER than the 90s series! It’s probably because I grew up with this version and I watched it first. That always happens. 🙂 But one thins I do agree with them is that the video and audio quality is top notch. Definitely the 5 out of 5 in both categories like they said. Packaging was also really nice and the menus and artwork are really cool as well.

When I first found this site, I had a really hard time trying to decide between this DVD version of X-Men Evolution or the Blu-Ray version. The screenshots of both versions look amazing. Since the DVD version is a little cheaper, and all my friends have DVD players, I chose this one since it would be a little more compatible for my needs. I think I made the right choice. It looks great even on my 65″ 4k TV.
