About Captain Planet
Captain Planet started in 1990 with a simple idea: five teenagers from around the world, five magic rings, and a superhero who appears when their powers combine. Ted Turner and Barbara Pyle created the show to get kids thinking about the environment, and a long list of famous actors lined up to voice its eco-villains.
The series comes in two sets. Captain Planet and the Planeteers collects the original three seasons, 65 episodes from 1990 to 1992, and The New Adventures of Captain Planet covers seasons 4 to 6, 48 episodes from 1993 to 1996 with Hanna-Barbera's updated look. Together they make the complete series: all 113 episodes.
