About This Set
By day, Britt Reid runs the Daily Sentinel newspaper. By night he is the Green Hornet, a masked crime fighter who poses as a wanted criminal to get inside the underworld. At his side is Kato, his martial-arts expert and the driver of the Black Beauty, their armed car.
The Green Hornet aired on ABC in 1966 and 1967, produced and narrated by William Dozier, the producer of Batman. Van Williams stars as the Hornet, and the series introduced American TV audiences to Bruce Lee as Kato. Its driving theme is an arrangement of “Flight of the Bumblebee” with Al Hirt on trumpet.
The Green Hornet complete TV series DVD set comes on 3 discs and has all 26 episodes, 12 hours of uncut, digitally remastered television, plus a bonus: the two-part crossover from the 1966 Batman series, “A Piece of the Action” and “Batman’s Satisfaction”. Oh man, getting my hands on this Green Hornet DVD set was like taking a walk down memory lane. The A/V quality is excellent, especially considering the show aired in the 60s. It’s digitally remastered and the sound is crisp. The menus are interactive and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate through episodes. I also appreciated the inclusion of the crossover episodes with Batman, it was a nice touch. As a fan of vintage superhero shows, this set is a gem. The physical media has its charm, something streaming can’t replicate. Totally recommend!

I received the Green Hornet DVD set promptly with solid packaging, ensuring no damage during transit. Popping the discs in, I was thrilled with the nostalgic artwork on the menus. It’s a well-presented set that honors the classic nature of the series. The Green Hornet and Kato’s adventures kept me entertained through the weekend. Although I wish they had included some subtitles for accessibility, the overall experience was great. It’s a tangible piece of superhero history I now proudly display on my shelf!

Bought this for my dad who was a fan back in the day, and we ended up binge-watching it together. It’s amazing how The Green Hornet bridges the generational gap. The episodes are fun, and the humor is timeless. Who could forget the episode where Green Hornet and Kato fight off those gangsters with their witty one-liners and martial arts? It’s classic and humorous! This DVD set is a wonderful way to experience the adventures of Green Hornet and Kato. And the bonus Batman crossover episodes? Cherry on top!
