Digimon Tamers Complete Season 3 DVD Set (2001)

Digimon Tamers starts fresh. Takato Matsuki loves the Digimon card game, and one day a Digimon he drew himself, Guilmon, comes to life. Soon he’s teamed up with fellow Tamers Rika and Renamon and Henry and Terriermon, using their cards to power up their partners in battle, while a secret government agency called Hypnos tracks every Digimon that crosses into our world.

Head writer Chiaki J. Konaka gave the third season a more grown-up tone, building to a showdown with the D-Reaper. It also introduced Biomerge Digivolution, where a Tamer and partner fuse into one, as when Takato and Guilmon become Gallantmon. It premiered in the US on Fox Kids in September 2001.
