Spider-Woman Complete Animated Series DVD Set (1979)

When a spider bite nearly kills young Jessica Drew, her father saves her with an experimental serum that leaves her with spider powers. Grown up, she runs Justice Magazine, but the moment trouble strikes she spins into action as Spider-Woman, with her friends Jeff Hunt and young Billy Drew along for the ride.

Spider-Woman aired on ABC from September 1979 to January 1980 and is often cited as the first Marvel animated series led by a superheroine. Joan Van Ark voices Jessica, and Spider-Man himself drops in for two episodes, “Pyramids of Terror” and “The Kongo Spider”. It was made by DePatie–Freleng Enterprises with Marvel, the studio’s last series before it became Marvel Productions.

The Spider-Woman complete animated series DVD set comes on 2 discs and includes all 16 episodes: nearly 6 hours of uncut, digitally remastered animation. The discs are region free and play on any DVD player in the world, and the interactive menus include Play All for easy binge-watching. Audio is in English only, with no subtitles.
