About This Set
Baloo is a cargo pilot in the harbor city of Cape Suzette, happiest in the air and least happy with paperwork. Flying his seaplane, the Sea Duck, for Rebecca Cunningham’s Higher for Hire, with former air pirate Kit Cloudkicker as his navigator, he dodges Don Karnage’s air pirates and the ruthless tycoon Shere Khan in one high-flying adventure after another.
TaleSpin reimagined characters from The Jungle Book for the Disney Afternoon, premiering in September 1990. Ed Gilbert voices Baloo, Sally Struthers voices Rebecca and Jim Cummings plays both Louie and Don Karnage. Its pilot movie, Plunder & Lightning, was nominated for a Primetime Emmy.
The TaleSpin complete animated series DVD set comes on 5 discs and includes all 65 episodes, the pilot included: nearly 22 hours of uncut, digitally remastered animation. The discs are region free and play on any DVD player in the world, and the interactive menus include Play All for easy binge-watching. Audio is in English only, with no subtitles.

Nobody talks about Talespin anymore. This show was so good, definitely one of my favorites from the 90s. This release is really good for what it is as well. Just look at the screenshots and you can see there are some channel logos that show while watching. I knew what I was buying though and the actual quality of the set is really nice. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. Thanks!

Okay, so I finally caved and bought the complete Talespin series. It’s as awesome as I remembered, but some episodes are better than others. The quality is mostly great for a show this old. The artwork and menus are neat, gives it that that classic DVD feel. My package arrived super fast, which was a nice surprise. I just wish the DVDs had more behind-the-scenes stuff. Feels like a missed opportunity. Still, watching with my nephew and seeing him get into it? Priceless.
