About This Set
Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society… Every week, a group of teenagers gathers around a campfire deep in the woods, and one of them tells a scary story. Are You Afraid of the Dark brings each tale to life, with ghosts, curses and creatures that kept a generation of kids up past bedtime.
Created by D. J. MacHale and Ned Kandel and filmed in Montreal, the original series aired on YTV in Canada and on Nickelodeon’s SNICK in the US through the 1990s: five seasons, then a two-season revival in 1999 and 2000. Look for early roles from Ryan Gosling, Neve Campbell, Melissa Joan Hart, Hayden Christensen and Elisha Cuthbert.
The Are You Afraid of the Dark complete TV series DVD set comes on 7 discs and includes all 91 episodes from all seven seasons: 36 hours of digitally remastered television. That’s 13 episodes in each of the seven seasons. The discs are region free and play on any DVD player in the world, and the interactive menus include Play All for easy binge-watching. Audio is in English only, with no subtitles.

This was my favorite show as a child. My sister would never watch it with me because she was to scared, but I’ve always loved it. I already owned a few seasons but I wanted to get the whole series. This was exactly what I was looking for. All of the episodes are in order and look great on my 65″ TV even though this is a standard DVD. I’ll be back for more soon!

Wow!!! Never thought I’d find a complete set of this show! The quality is stunning, really high quality DVD. I’ve been binging the show now for the past week and every bit as good as I remember it. Zero complaints! One of the best purchases I’ve made this year for sure.

5/5 all the way around. My order came super fast and I was giddy getting this package. Everything from the beginning was great. Menus are super cool and they do have interactive episode selection or play all. The previous reviewer was right about the nostalgia! 🙂 Hahaha this show is STILL great and I look forward to watching the rest of the discs soon.

I declare this DVD of the Midnight Society to be superb! It really does have all the episodes from all the seasons. They just don’t make shows like this anymore. It doesn’t get any better than this.

I did a lot of research before buying these sets. I purchased both the Afraid of the Dark and Spider-Man shows from TVShowDVDs.com because they are the ONLY official import distributor of HKLDVD shows. There are a lot of imitators out there selling copies and worse quality versions. TVShowDVDs sells directly the original import copies and are the highest quality available anywhere. All other sellers have stolen the pictures and copies from the original TVShowDVDs version. You get full interactive menus with these sets that other sellers might not have. And the quality in general of these sets is far superior to some of the sets out there. I gladly paid a little more to make sure I got the original producer of these sets.
