About This Set
A thousand years ago in Scotland, a clan of gargoyles was betrayed and turned to stone. In 1994 they awaken high above Manhattan, where billionaire David Xanatos has rebuilt their castle on top of his skyscraper. Led by Goliath and helped by police detective Elisa Maza, the survivors become the city’s protectors by night.
Gargoyles premiered in October 1994 and is still praised for its serialized storytelling, its Shakespeare-inspired episodes and a voice cast full of Star Trek actors, including Jonathan Frakes as Xanatos and Marina Sirtis as Demona, alongside Keith David as Goliath and Ed Asner as Hudson.
The Gargoyles complete animated series DVD set comes on 6 discs and has all 78 episodes from all three seasons, The Goliath Chronicles included: over 27 hours of digitally remastered animation. That’s 13 episodes in season 1, 52 in season 2 and 13 in The Goliath Chronicles. The discs are region free and play on any DVD player in the world, with interactive menus that take you straight to any episode. Audio is in English only, with no subtitles.

YYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! This is the collection I was looking for. Shipping was fast and the case, discs, and artwork all look great. You can choose from an episode selection or play all on each disc. Stop looking! This is the one you want.

This show looks amazing on my 70″ 4K TV. I know its older and on DVD, but the colors are still vibrant and crisp. If you sit really close up you can tell its not as crisp as a 4K stream or 1080p Blu-Ray, but you can say that about any DVDs or any older shows from the 90s. It’s not all about the picture though, this DVD also SOUNDS really nice as well. Sound is half the battle and its more important than people think. It’s dolby digital 2.0 just like most typical 90s cartoons as well. I’m glad I own this set and look forward to getting some more in the future.

Ordered on a Saturday and my order shipped the same day! I was already really impressed because most shops don’t ship out on the weekends. Since it came USPS they work Saturdays too, and I received my order on Tuesday which was really nice and fast. I haven’t had a chance to watch yet but it looks nice. Will update review if anything changes.

Finally I found the entire Gargoyles set on DVD including The Goliath Chronicles! I had already bought previous releases separately but I really was looking for the complete collection. Video and audio quality are both really good and I love the menus. I might even purchase the Blu-Ray next since I’d really love to see this show in HD.
